Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and/or ExperienceA minimum of 5-years of experience in operating CNC/Manual machines for precision partsSuccessful completion of a machinist program or similar studies from a technical collegeMust be skilled in use of all types of precision measuring instrumentsMust be able to interpret complex blueprints/drawingsIndividual must have experience operating the following machines:CNC Horizontal Turning Lathe with Live ToolingCNC Horizontal Machining CentersCNC Vertical Machining CentersHoning Cylinder BarrelsManual—Lathe, Mill and SawCommunication SkillsMust be able to communicate in both a verbal and written form to the departmentMust be able to read, write and interpreted instructionsComputer SkillsThorough knowledge of computer software programs required for machining operation.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee works in a machine shop environment and is regularly exposed to close proximity of moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
