You will load fixtures/parts onto the machine, set tools and generate offsets, and record dimensions throughout the machining process. *** Candidates with at least one year of machining experience, are eligible for a $2,500 signing bonus ***What you'll do:Machine products to tight tolerancesReads and interprets specification manuals, blueprints, templates and layouts to determine machining operation to be performedVerifies dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges and micrometersComputes dimensions and tolerances and measures and lays out work piecesAdjusts and sets up machine tools for use by machining tool operatorsParticipates in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirementsWork independently and as a team to achieve maximum qualityCompute and verify dimensions to ensure accuracyObserving all applicable safety practicesCarries out other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications3 or more years of experience as a Machinist including operating lathes or mills.3 or more years of experience reading/interpreting manuals and technical drawings, utilizing hands tools, and working with precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, gauges, micrometers).3 or more years of experience with manual machine tools operations.Ability to lift up to 50lbs without assistanceAbility to stand for 5 plus hours at a timeHigh School Diploma, or GEDMust be authorized to work in the U.S.Desired SkillsPreferred CNC or Manual Machinist CertificationVTL (Vertical Turning Lathe) experienceHigh degree of mechanical aptitude, accuracy and precisionBenefits that make life better :Comprehensive Healthcare401(k) with 100% company match; up to 5% vestedPaid Time Off starting on day oneBonus opportunitiesHealth- & Dependent Care Flexible Spending AccountsShort- & Long-Term DisabilityLife & AD&D InsuranceLearning & Training opportunities
