Job Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients employing standardized assessments and observational techniques. Craft tailored treatment plans that target both immediate objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs. Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions with a focus on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and family members to design cohesive care approaches. Equip patients and their families with educational resources to support their progress beyond clinical appointments. Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care. Maintain meticulous documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in ongoing professional development and stay informed about the latest advancements in the field through continuing education and collaborative efforts. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist . ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for various age groups, along with a strong grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and diverse care teams. Flexibility in adapting therapy techniques to cater to different cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving capabilities.
