Telemetry Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Job Description

The Telemetry Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in a fast-paced telemetry setting. This position requires knowledge and experience in telemetry monitoring, patient assessment, and effective communication with a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry data to assess patient conditions.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document patient responses.
• Utilize bedside shift reporting and hourly rounding to enhance patient experience.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital policies.
• Float to other units as needed in accordance with hospital floating policy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Texas RN License (Temp License will NOT be accepted).
• 2+ Years of Hospital/Specialty experience.
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required.
• Experience in telemetry monitoring and patient assessment.
• Knowledge of cardiac medications and management of dysrhythmias preferred.
