Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others? Join a traveling Physical Therapist assignment in Millbury, MA at an outpatient clinic where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. Evaluate assigned patients, develop and implement treatment plans, and coordinate discipline-specific therapy services to support functional return to community activities. Maintain timely, accurate documentation and ensure care is provided under valid physician orders and within payer approvals. Participate in student instruction as assigned and pursue professional development in collaboration with clinical management. Adhere to professional codes of conduct, state practice acts, and organizational safety and compliance expectations.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active MA physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Outpatient physical therapy experience is required.
• Demonstrated competence with comprehensive evaluations, goal writing, and development of individualized treatment plans.
• Experience with documentation systems, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
• Ability to supervise and delegate to aides and students as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in outpatient clinic settings treating musculoskeletal and post-surgical populations.
• Prior participation in student supervision or educational programs.
• Additional certifications relevant to outpatient orthopedics or manual therapy are preferred.

Assignment Details

• 5x8 schedule.
• One position available.
• May be required to follow clinic guidelines for personal appearance, attendance, and punctuality.
• Maintain required professional licensure and complete state-mandated continuing education.
