Shift Requirements : 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, some travel may be required. (hours, in person, telework, travel, overnights, flexible schedules, etc.) Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

As a Transportation Engineer Associate , your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Reviews quality control plans for materials suppliers and manufacturers
- Under the direction of the District Materials Engineer, provides engineering expertise and assistance to the District laboratory, Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA), Portland and Cement Concrete (PCC), and Aggregate Technicians.
- Conducts field trials, data collection, and analysis of new products and testing procedures to evaluate their usefulness
- Analyzes traffic data, road conditions, and location to develop bituminous mix design criteria and select appropriate asphalt binders for maintenance and local projects
- Performs pavement evaluation to determine the extent and cause of damage to determine the correct repair procedure
