What You Will Do:

• Operate multiple bulk welding machines simultaneously to produce overlay products used in various fabrications.
• Monitor and adjust machines as needed to maintain quality and meet production specifications.
• Measure and confirm that plates are produced to specification, and identify finished products by size, thickness, tag number, and color code.
• Review production sheets to ensure plates are produced accurately and paperwork is completed correctly.
• Monitor the schedule board for upcoming production needs.
• Perform minor maintenance on bulk welding machines and maintain housekeeping practices, including timely removal of flux and slag.
• Operate overhead cranes, tow motors, and other material-handling equipment.
• Log in and out of the operating system to accurately record job progress and completion.
• Maintain a clean work area, follow safe work practices, and wear required PPE.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Training and Experience: High school diploma or GED; two or more years of experience in a welding or industrial fabrication environment preferred.
• Quality Focus: Ability to monitor machine output, confirm plates meet specifications, and identify and correct quality issues quickly.
• Technical Skills: Comfortable operating industrial machinery and making adjustments to maintain consistent production quality.
• Problem-Solving Ability: Able to identify machine or production issues, determine solutions, and work independently when needed.
• Strong Work Ethic: Dependable, punctual, open to constructive feedback, and committed to producing quality work.
• Positive Attitude: Willingness to learn, work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and contribute to a safe and respectful work environment.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, stoop, bend, twist, and lift up to 40 pounds.

What Makes You Stand Out:

• Prior experience operating bulk welding or submerged arc welding machines.
• Experience working in a metal fabrication or abrasion-resistant steel environment.
• Overhead crane certification or operating experience.
• Tow motor or other material-handling equipment experience.
• Ability to identify production issues and make machine adjustments with limited supervision.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
