Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside nursing care to Medical Surgical / Telemetry patients in an acute care setting with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, including dysrhythmia identification, using bedside monitors capable of telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed to meet facility staffing requirements
• Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to ensure continuity of care across shifts
• Adhere to facility charting standards using Epic electronic health records
• Participate in every-other-weekend rotation as a non-negotiable scheduling requirement

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
• Active South Carolina RN license or valid Compact RN license required prior to start date
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Ability to commit to every-other-weekend shifts

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a community hospital setting
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records platform
