Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in Labor & Delivery to join our team as an Assistant Nurse Manager. This role is ideal for a clinically strong nurse with leadership experience who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and supporting team operations in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Nurse Manager in overseeing daily operations of the Labor & Delivery unit
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to nursing staff
• Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
• Support staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards (Joint Commission, OSHA, HIPAA)
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and workflow optimization

Qualifications:

• Active RN license (California)
• Minimum 3+ years of Labor & Delivery experience in a hospital setting
• Prior leadership experience (Charge Nurse / Lead RN / Supervisor preferred)
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (AWHONN preferred)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
