About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified IMC RN in Overland Park, Kansas, 66206!

• Function as a float pool RN across approximately 5 Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU departments, with floating to additional metro campuses as needed - no permanent home unit assigned
• Provide patient care in Med/Surg Telemetry, Cardiac Telemetry, and Neuro Stepdown settings, managing conditions including Sepsis, Stroke, AFIB, Renal Failure, GIB, and COVID
• Perform cardiac monitoring duties including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and unit-based telemetry monitoring
• Provide pre- and post-Cardiac Cath care as well as wound care, ETOH, and SI patient management
• Fulfill holiday shift and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit
• Meet weekend requirements of 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period, spanning a combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

• Active RN license - both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact) required at time of submission ; unwillingness to float across state lines may result in cancellation
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Proficiency with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and telemetry; experience in MS/Tele, Cardiac Telemetry, and Neuro Stepdown settings
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with sheath removal (cardiovascular)
• Feeding tube care and management
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills including port access, blood product administration, and central line care and management

• Diverse clinical exposure across multiple PCU and Med/Surg Intermediate care units, offering broad experience in a dynamic float pool environment
• Expected schedule of 3 shifts per 13-week contract with no on-call requirements, supporting a structured and predictable work experience
