Plant and Value Chain Optimization Director

As Plant and Value Chain Optimization Director at Drax, you will lead end-to-end performance optimization across our generation assets and energy value chain. Reporting into the executive leadership team, you will design and execute strategies that enhance plant efficiency, reliability, and sustainability while maximizing commercial value. You’ll leverage advanced analytics, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration to reduce costs, cut carbon, and increase output. In this highly visible role, you will guide major optimization projects, mentor a diverse team, and partner closely with trading, engineering, and supply chain leaders. You will drive standardization of best practices across sites and logistics networks, ensure regulatory and ESG alignment, and champion innovation in digital and automation solutions.
