Job Description
Exciting Surgical Nursing Opportunity!

Job Description:


- Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 4 days per week (8 hours each day)
- Guarantee: 32 hours
- Cataract Experience Required: Non-negotiable


- EMR: Cerner
- Dress Code: Hospital provided scrubs
- Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
- Role Overview:
- Key member of the surgical team, functioning in both circulating and scrubbing capacities.
- Provide specialized care across various service lines including:
- General surgery
- Urology
- Ophthalmology
- Podiatry
- Pain management
- Endoscopy procedures
- Services primarily focus on outpatient procedures with limited inpatient care.
- Care for patients aged 16 and older.


- Travel Requirements:
- Local travelers (within 50 miles) are NOT eligible.
- Must possess a personal vehicle; public transport is unavailable.


- Time Off Policy:
- Requested time off during assignment must be noted at upload; no more than 5 days accepted (less is better).
- Be prepared to work two holiday blocks:
- Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and weekend
- Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and weekend
- New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and weekend


- Submission Requirements:
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in surgical nursing.
- Required skills in both scrubbing and circulating.
- Preferred experience in Phase I/PACU.
- Must demonstrate multiple surgical experiences.
- Proficiency in Cerner EMR.
- Travel experience highly preferred.
- BSN preferred.

- Attendance Policy:
- Three call-offs within the contract may lead to termination due to attendance policies.
- Communication of call-offs must be at least 1.5 hours in advance.
