Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000/yr

Work Type:  Full-Time

Work Model:  Hybrid – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote

Work Schedule:  Monday - Friday, 8:30am – 5pm

Positional Overview

The Imagine Group is recruiting for a   Capital Accountant   on behalf of our client, a leading global industrial gas and engineering company providing essential gases, technologies, and services to a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, food and beverage, and energy. The Tonawanda facility supports the production and distribution of industrial gases while maintaining a strong focus on safety, operational excellence, and reliable customer service.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining capital asset accounting records, including tracking capital expenditures, asset additions, transfers, disposals, and depreciation. You will review and reconcile financial data, prepare accounting reports, support month-end close activities, and ensure transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.

• You will establish, monitor, and close capital projects in collaboration with project managers.
• Oversee asset acquisitions, retirements, transfers, and depreciation using the JD Edwards ERP system.
• Perform month-end system close and reporting procedures.
• Further, you will complete monthly and quarterly account reconciliations.
• Conduct plant reviews to ensure accurate records and strong internal controls.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Two to four (2-4) years of public accounting and/or corporate accounting experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to quickly learn new processes and concepts to support evolving business needs.
• Demonstrated ability to multitask.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and stakeholders.
