Endoscopy/Gastrointestinal Technician

Schedule:

Shift: 5x8.0

Days: Monday to Friday

Night call required

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience required

High-Level Disinfection (HLD) certification highly encouraged

Travel experience required

Roles & Responsibilities:

Apply principles of aseptic technique during equipment preparation and maintenance.

Assist with procedures while ensuring the integrity of sterile and high-level disinfected items.

Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on all procedure supplies and equipment.

Perform pre-cleaning requirements per regulatory standards for endoscopes, including inspection, leak testing, cleaning, and high-level disinfection.

Determine methods of high-level disinfection based on material and manufacturer's instructions.

Check and calibrate equipment according to established protocols.

Perform additional ambulatory technician duties as assigned, including obtaining and documenting vital signs and transporting patients.
