We cover gaps due to unexpected call outs, long-term leaves, planned vacations, staffing vacancies, etc. This is a unique opportunity to work autonomously to the top of your education/certification while also functioning as part of a collaborative team. We are seeking per diem Medical Assistant to pick up shifts Monday through Friday, but we can be flexible on exact days based on employee availability. In this role, you would be expected to cover various practices across the Pioneer Valley. Towns/cities include: Amherst, Belchertown, Florence, Greenfield, Hadley, Northampton, South Deerfield, West Hatfield, Williamsburg.The role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred.Licenses and Credentials: Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Various Issuers preferred.
