Job Title: Medical Virtual Assistant (Urgent Care Support)
- Job Type: Full-Time (7 hours per day)
- Location: Remote
- Salary: 40,000 per month
- Answer and triage patient calls professionally and empathetically.
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments based on patient needs.
- Assist with prescription-related concerns, including refill requests and pharmacy coordination.
- Verify insurance coverage and in-network status for patients.
- Help patients complete missing forms and paperwork.
- Document patient interactions accurately and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant, Medical Receptionist, or in Healthcare Customer Service.
- Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems (experience with Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar is a plus).
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and scheduling protocols.
- Strong communication skills in English (bilingual in Spanish is a plus).
- Proficiency with computer applications and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Work remotely with a stable 7-hour workday.
