HR Business Partner

This opportunity is for an HR Business Partner who will support multiple offices in Austin or Houston, Texas. The role involves talent management, employee relations, benefits, compensation, and HR data analytics and reporting. It is an in‑office position – remote and hybrid schedules are not available. What You’ll Do Partner with business leaders to understand needs and align HR strategies with business goals. Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Collaborate with HR departments to implement, administer, educate, and deliver HR services, programs, and training. Manage employee relations, including investigations and conflict resolution. Support talent management initiatives such as workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development. Analyze compensation and provide guidance to maintain competitiveness and equity. Ensure compliance with HR‑related legal requirements. Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Conduct exit interviews, analyze turnover trends, and develop strategies to increase engagement and retention. Participate in development and implementation of HR programs and initiatives. Provide regular status updates to HR leadership on progress and impact. Perform other duties as assigned. What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field plus 5 years of relevant human resources experience. What You'll Bring In‑depth knowledge of the HR function and HNTB processes. Understanding of how the business generates revenue and how work gets done within HNTB. Ability to react quickly to solve problems and execute essential day‑to‑day HR activities. Partner with leaders to identify and execute organizational changes and communication plans. Engage with business leaders to understand the talent needs required to support future growth. Interpret basic data visualizations to make comparisons and draw conclusions. Identify and deliver data critical to stakeholders’ priorities. Recognize patterns and trends and recommend adjustments to existing plans. Ask probing questions and discover root causes of problems. Report and manage risks identified through internal operations or the external market. Understand how work is distributed within the HR function and effectively support COEs. Travel up to 30% of the time. What We Prefer 5 years of HR Business Partner experience consulting with leaders on strategy and administration of programs.
