Job Description: Order Processing Specialist Job Title: Order Processing Specialist Position Summary The Order Processing Specialist is responsible for accurately receiving, reviewing, entering, and processing customer orders. This role ensures timely order fulfillment, maintains accurate records, communicates with customers and internal departments, and helps resolve order-related issues to support a positive customer experience. Key Responsibilities Receive and process customer orders via email, online portals, or other order-entry systems. Verify order details, including pricing, quantities, product availability, and shipping information. Enter orders accurately into the company database or ERP system. Coordinate with warehouse, shipping, and customer service teams to ensure timely order fulfillment. Monitor order status and provide updates to customers as needed. Resolve discrepancies related to orders, inventory, billing, or shipping. Maintain accurate customer and order records. Process order modifications, cancellations, returns, and exchanges. Generate reports and documentation related to order activity. Assist with inventory tracking and stock availability inquiries. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding order processing and data accuracy. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred. Experience 1–2 years of administrative, customer service, order entry, or clerical experience preferred. Experience using order management, ERP, or inventory systems is an advantage. Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent data entry and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Problem-solving abilities. Ability to work as part of a team. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer. Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Manual dexterity for keyboard and office equipment use. Working Conditions Office or warehouse office environment. Standard business hours, with occasional overtime as needed.
