Travel Registered Nurse – Telemetry & Acute MedSurg

What you'll do:

As a travel RN in telemetry and acute med-surg, you will deliver routine and complex nursing care to patients with conditions such as orthopedic issues, colorectal and urological concerns, sepsis, SBO, and geriatric gynecology. You will practice independently, leveraging your clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Your role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, administering medications and treatments, documenting thoroughly, and educating patients and families. Demonstrating leadership by making sound clinical judgments and delegating tasks appropriately will be key to your success.

Required skills:

• Valid RN license in Texas or a Compact State
• BLS (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in acute MedSurg or Telemetry
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Competence in medication administration and patient education

Nice to have skills:

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Additional certifications relevant to medical-surgical care
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
• Bilingual abilities a plus

Preferred education and experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• At least one year of professional nursing experience in acute care settings

• Willingness to work 7AM – 7PM shifts
