And we're growing. The Role BRAVAS is hiring a Staff Accountant in the Houston area to support corporate accounting and treasury operations across our nationwide locations. This role manages daily cash activity, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and treasury transactions (ACH, wire transfers, positive pay) while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced staff accountant, treasury analyst, or corporate accountant looking to grow within a multi-entity accounting and finance environment.Responsibilities:Manage daily cash activity: monitor bank accounts, record transactions, and maintain accurate cash position reporting.Perform bank, balance sheet, and general ledger (GL) reconciliations; research and resolve discrepancies.Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports in accordance with U.S. GAAP, company policy, and internal controls.Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.Process and monitor ACH payments, wire transfers, and positive pay; maintain banking relationships.Assist with internal and external audits, providing documentation and maintaining accurate accounting records.Monitor financial activity to identify irregularities or risk, and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.Collaborate cross-functionally to support accounting, treasury, and operational initiatives.Own assigned accounts and responsibilities; proactively manage deadlines and communicate progress to leadership.Identify opportunities to improve accounting and treasury processes through automation, standardization, and stronger controls.Prepare ad hoc financial analyses, reports, and schedules to support management decision-making.Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial data and ensure regulatory compliance.Provide backup support for accounting and treasury functions; participate in special projects as needed.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (degree requirement may be waived for candidates with 5+ years of relevant hands-on accounting experience).3–5 years of progressive accounting and/or treasury experience.Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software such as NetSuite AND QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Experience processing ACH payments, wire transfers, and other treasury transactions.Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.Experience in a multi-entity, manufacturing, or high-volume transaction environment preferred.Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, treasury operations, and internal controls.Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems, online banking platforms, Excel, and Microsoft Office.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong cross-functional collaboration.Continuous improvement mindset; skilled at identifying process efficiencies and strengthening controls.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting (e.g., during travel or computer work).Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.Bravas Benefits:Competitive base salary plus bonus potential.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement plan.Paid time off (PTO).Career growth opportunities within the luxury design/build and smart home industry.Collaborative, team-oriented culture.This is a fully remote/work from home position.Ready to grow your accounting career with the nation's leader in smart home integration?
