Job Description
The Collision Estimator oversees daily operations for an independent body shop and reports to the owner. This role leads repair estimation, production scheduling, customer service, and full insurance claims negotiation while owning repair throughput, profitability and revenue, and customer satisfaction. The position offers an advancement path toward operations ownership.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day shop operations.
- Prepare and oversee repair estimates.
- Schedule production to support efficient repair throughput.
- Provide customer service throughout the repair process.
- Negotiate insurance claims in full.
- Own shop profitability and revenue performance.
- Drive customer satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in collision repair management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with collision repair estimating.
- Knowledge of automotive repair management.
- Experience with parts procurement.
- Knowledge of quality assurance practices.
- Experience with insurance claims processing.
