Desktop Support Team Lead – 2-Week Onsite ProjectOverview

We are seeking a Desktop Support Team Lead for a short-term, onsite engagement supporting the early phase of a large-scale system implementation. This role will lead a small team of technicians focused on asset inventory and documentation, while also contributing hands-on to the project.

Project Details

• Duration: 2 weeks (5 days onsite)

• Start Date: Late June / Early July

• Scope: Oversee and execute detailed inventory of IT devices and peripherals

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of desktop technicians performing asset inventory

• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all device and peripheral data captured in Excel

• Monitor team productivity, progress, and adherence to project timelines

• Perform hands-on inventory work alongside the team as needed

• Serve as the main point of contact onsite, ensuring professionalism in all user interactions

• Collaborate with stakeholders and provide updates on project status and metrics

Required Qualifications

• Strong desktop support experience

• Prior team lead or supervisory experience

• Strong experience with PC hardware and desktop environments

• Advanced attention to detail and organizational skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, structured environment with strict documentation requirements

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chantilly, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
