Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

$32–$42 per hour

Woburn Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team in Woburn, MA . This is a Full-Time opportunity for a PTA who is passionate about helping patients improve mobility, regain independence, and achieve meaningful rehabilitation goals.

What You'll Do

• Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

• Implement individualized treatment plans designed to improve patients' strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and functional independence.

• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes or concerns to the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary care team.

• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional activities, transfers, ambulation, and other rehabilitation interventions.

• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, safety, and strategies to support continued progress.

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and facility staff.

• Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation in accordance with facility, Medicare, and payer requirements.

• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings as appropriate.

• Promote patient safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life throughout the rehabilitation process.

• Maintain compliance with facility policies, professional standards, and applicable state requirements.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing.

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.

• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

• Ability to follow treatment plans and appropriately communicate patient progress to the supervising Physical Therapist.

• Previous experience in skilled nursing or post-acute rehabilitation is preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits
