Shipping Clerk

Position Summary:
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for preparing, packaging, and processing outgoing shipments, as well as receiving and organizing incoming materials. This role ensures that all orders are accurately filled, properly documented, and shipped on time while maintaining a clean and organized warehouse or shipping area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and package orders for shipment according to company and customer requirements.
• Create and print shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
• Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers such as UPS, FedEx, or freight companies.
• Inspect outgoing and incoming shipments for accuracy, condition, and completeness.
• Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records in the computer system.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
• Communicate with warehouse, production, and customer service teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
• Keep the shipping and receiving areas clean, organized, and safe.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred.
• Familiarity with shipping software or ERP systems a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment.
