Technician at NorthPark Townhomes, you will play a key role in maintaining the appearance, functionality, safety, and overall resident experience of the community.You’ll have the opportunity to use your technical skills every day while working in a variety of areas including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, unit turnovers, preventative maintenance, and general property repairs.We are looking for someone with a results-driven mindset, strong work ethic, can-do attitude, and commitment to exceptional service.What You'll DoGeneral MaintenancePerform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs throughout the residential community.Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems.Assist with overseeing outside contractors as directed by the Property Manager.Help maintain buildings, grounds, common areas, and community amenities.Repairs & Resident ServiceRespond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests.Perform minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and other general repairs.Repair and install small and large household appliances.Repair or replace smoke detectors, ceiling lights, and other fixtures.Provide exceptional service while resolving maintenance issues efficiently and professionally.Keep the Community Market-ReadyPrepare vacant apartments/townhomes for new residents.Complete unit turnovers efficiently and to Rookwood's standards.Inspect vacant homes and common areas to ensure they are clean, safe, attractive, and ready for occupancy.Identify maintenance needs before they become larger problems.Help maintain the community's curb appeal and overall appearance.Property OperationsMaintain accurate records of completed maintenance work.Monitor and maintain an organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.Help ensure the property remains safe, operational, and well maintained.Follow company policies, safety procedures, and applicable housing and property regulations.QualificationsValid driver's license and reliable transportation required.Satisfactory background and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks are required as a condition of employment.Previous experience in property maintenance, apartment maintenance, construction, or a related field is highly preferred.Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.Basic knowledge and skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.HVAC certification is a significant advantage.EPA certification is beneficial.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, troubleshoot problems, and follow through.Professional attitude and commitment to providing excellent service.Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a high-quality residential community.Physical RequirementsAbility to perform routine physical and manual labor associated with property maintenance.Ability to lift objects weighing over 50 pounds.Ability to work indoors and outdoors and in various weather conditions.Ability to safely use maintenance tools, equipment, and machinery.On-Call RequirementThis position participates in the property's on-call rotation and must be available to respond to emergency maintenance needs as scheduled.Ready to Make a Difference?If
