About the Position

Job Title: Travel RN - CVICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in critical care License: RN Certifications: Required Must-Have: Candidates must have 2 years of critical care experience in adult ICU, CVICU, or Neuro ICU. Candidates must have ventilator experience and skills in art line, central line, and chest tube management. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The unit features a total of 16 beds with a staff of approximately 45 personnel. Staffing includes a Clinical Nurse Coordinator on both day and night shifts with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1. Equipment used includes GE monitors, EV 1000, Hemispheres, CRRT, Impella, Swan Ganz, arterial lines, chest tubes, and ventilators. The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech. Candidates with experience specific to CVICU, CABG recovery, CRRT, and Impella will be prioritized. Standard procedures performed in the unit include hemodynamic monitoring, Swan Ganz catheterization, arterial lines, and chest tube placement. Ideal candidates are team players who thrive in a collaborative care environment. Floating areas may include Medical ICU, Neuro Surgical ICU, and Cardiac PCU. The dress code requires scrubs in royal blue. This position requires 2 weekend shifts biweekly with no on-call duties.
