About the Role

As an Interventional Radiologic Technologist, you'll play a key role in supporting vascular access procedures while ensuring patient safety, procedural efficiency, and adherence to radiation and sterile technique standards.

You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff during minimally invasive procedures that help patients maintain life-sustaining dialysis access.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, equipment, and procedure rooms for vascular access procedures
• Operate fluoroscopy and C-Arm equipment during procedures
• Assist physicians during angiograms, angioplasty, thrombectomy procedures, dialysis catheter placements, vein mapping, and related interventions
• Scrub into procedures and maintain sterile technique throughout each case
• Monitor and protect the integrity of the sterile field
• Perform instrument, sponge, and needle counts as required
• Track medications and procedural supplies
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure procedure rooms remain appropriately stocked
• Assist with patient transportation, scheduling, and procedural flow
• Maintain radiology safety standards and serve as Radiation Safety Officer (RSO)
• Support efficient daily operations of the surgery center

Qualifications

Required

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current ARRT certification
• State licensure and/or fluoroscopy permit as required
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum two years of experience in diagnostic radiology, special procedures, interventional radiology, or cardiac catheterization
• Knowledge of sterile technique and procedural workflows

Preferred

• Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiology (CV-IR) certification
• ACLS certification
• Experience in vascular access, interventional radiology, cath lab, or ambulatory surgery settings
