Physician - Hematology Oncology

Your job is more than a job. The physician provides medical care and treatment to patients, including routine examinations, diagnoses, treatment of illnesses and injuries, and immunizations according to medical or school guidelines. Responsibilities Provide quality patient care and respond to patient calls and messages. Maintain patient and business records, completing daily patient encounters. Observe patients for signs of abuse/neglect and report immediately. Recognize emergencies and respond in accordance with policies and procedures. Participate in a physician call schedule and offer patient meeting slots. Assist with compliance to safety, infection control, quality improvement, and regulatory standards. Implement standard and transmission‑based precautions and ensure patient safety during clinic visits. Maintain a clean clinic environment and report safety hazards to the manager or designee. When applicable, perform Medical Director duties: ensure provider compliance, communicate concerns and initiatives, review provider assessments, and develop work and call schedules. Experience & Qualifications Completed residency training. Doctoral degree in Medicine or Osteopathy. Licensing & Certifications American Heart Association Basic Life Support – HCP. Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification. Medical licensure through the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners. Skills & Abilities Medical skills.
