SMH Level 2 RN 412 Palliative Care

Shift: 3x12 Flex, 07:00:00-19:00:00, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on call per unit need

Job Description:

4-1200 is a unit for patients (age 18 and up) with intensive symptom management needs at end of life. Good IV skills, wound care skills, compassion, ability to manage patients with complex needs and families in crisis. Astute assessment skills are mandatory to advocate for patients who often can no longer speak for themselves. The unit also cares for general medicine overflow.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patients with intensive symptom management needs at end of life
• Provide care for general medicine overflow
• Advocate for patients with complex needs

Requirements:

• NYS RN License
• 2 years' experience in recent palliative or acute med/surg
• BLS from AHA
• Experience with patient-controlled analgesia pumps or CHPN certification highly desired
