Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a complex care unit serving medicine, orthopedic overflow, and complex long-term patients with a patient ratio of up to 1:5–1:7
• Perform telemetry monitoring on the unit and coordinate with Rapid Response and Code teams as needed
• Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral lines, feeding tubes, surgical drains, and wound care including wound VAC therapy
• Administer blood products and manage heparin protocols, IV therapy, and phlebotomy
• Provide respiratory support including High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen, and tracheostomy management
• Float to other units as required and maintain isolation precautions per facility policy

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered New York State RN license — must be in hand at time of submittal (no exceptions)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required — must be valid and included at time of submittal
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Proficiency in Epic EMR is a hard requirement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with pacemaker management (temporary and permanent), ortho trauma, and total joint replacements
• Familiarity with tracheostomy management and advanced respiratory support modalities
• Experience working in a tertiary care hospital setting
