Job Title

Registered Nurse — Medical Surgical / Telemetry (MS/Tele)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 4x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required | Every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Perform cardiac monitoring including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Participate in emergency response protocols including Rapid Response and Code team activation
• Administer oxygen therapy via nasal cannula and oxygen tanks; manage non-invasive airway support
• Perform IV therapy and phlebotomy including peripheral line care and management
• Maintain and apply isolation precautions in accordance with facility policy; float within skillset as required

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State single-state RN license (must be in hand at time of submission; NY is not a Compact state)
• Current BLS certification required
• Current NIHSS certification required (must be included at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records (hard requirement)
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers are accepted
• Familiarity with advanced cardiac monitoring and telemetry in an acute care setting
