Systems Engineer

Overview The Instrumentation and Controls C10 / C35.6 Systems Engineer designs, develops, and tests I&C platforms and systems that control critical safety functions for the BWRX-300 Small Module Reactor. The role requires technical problem solving, requirements management, and cross‑disciplinary communication. Responsibilities Conduct component and product integration across multiple systems. Manage product and systems requirements, specifications, and flow‑down. Drive validation and verification activities, including system‑level testing. Define product requirements for modules, components, subcontractors, and partnering teams. Maintain interfaces between components and execution organizations. Lead CTQ and risk trade studies within design teams. Control product configuration and configuration management. Support knowledge expansion and policy strategy execution. Resolve technical issues using established procedures and co‑consult with senior engineers. Lead or mentor junior team members when required. Serve as a technical liaison with customers and GE units. Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering. Required: 2 years of systems engineering experience in a highly regulated industry. Required: Access to U.S. export‑controlled information (US participants only). Desired: Instrumentation and Controls system engineering experience. Desired: Nuclear system engineering or Boiling Water Reactor/Small Module Reactor design experience. Desired: Experience with engineering project lifecycle from requirements to final testing. Desired: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex information. Desired: Strong oral communication, documentation, planning, and execution skills.
