• Job Title: Manager, Consent Management Platform
• Job Summary: As Manager, Consent Management Platform, you will lead the small, high-impact engineering team responsible for establishing, delivering and evolving shared capabilities that enable consistent consent and preference experiences across the Pokémon digital ecosystem. You will lead the roadmap and delivery of the platforms and services that enable this capability, including the Preference Center, consent-management services and APIs, relevant data and identity integrations, audit capabilities, and the technical controls required to support customer choices across content-driven websites, authenticated experiences, marketing platforms, event systems and other global Pokémon digital initiatives."

What you’ll do

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of Software Engineers responsible for delivering and operating shared digital platform capabilities, with Consent Management as a primary area of focus.
• Establish and drive the Consent Management capability and platform roadmap, translating agreed business, fan-experience, privacy and regulatory requirements into clear priorities, outcomes and delivery plans.
• Create alignment across Product, Engineering, Privacy, Legal, Data Governance, Marketing Technology and other stakeholders on how consent and preference requirements are translated into consistent digital capabilities and experiences.
• Drive greater consistency in how consent and customer preferences are implemented across fan-facing touch points, reducing fragmented approaches and enabling reusable enterprise capabilities.
• Own delivery outcomes for the Consent Management platform and associated shared capabilities, providing clear visibility of progress, milestones, dependencies, risks and key performance indicators.
• Partner with senior technical leaders to guide architecture and solution design, ensuring platforms are scalable, secure, reliable and maintainable while supporting the intended fan experience.
• Lead and facilitate cross-functional and multi-team planning to align solution approaches, responsibilities, dependencies and execution strategies.
• Ensure appropriate consideration of auditability, identity, data stewardship, security and privacy requirements throughout platform design and delivery, in partnership with the accountable subject-matter experts.
• Balance investment across new capability development, platform modernization, operational resilience and technical health.
• Drive exploration and responsible adoption of AI-enabled solutions where they can improve team productivity, platform performance, quality or delivery outcomes.
• Provide strategic leadership across related platform initiatives, contributing to standards, operating models and cross-team practices that improve consistency and quality.
• Develop team members through coaching, feedback and performance management, including development planning and mentoring current and future technical leaders.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and thoughtful innovation, encouraging the team to challenge existing approaches where doing so improves business and fan outcomes.

What you’ll bring

• 2–5 years of demonstrated experience leading and managing engineering teams or complex technical initiatives.
• 5+ years of experience building, operating, or overseeing modern, multi‑tier digital applications and services in production environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience designing or leading API-driven platforms that integrate customer experiences, identity systems, data stores, vendor products, or enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of data-management principles, including data ownership, classification, quality, lineage, retention, access control, auditability, and lifecycle management.
• Working knowledge of consent management, customer preferences, privacy engineering, responsible data use, or related data-governance concepts.
• Experience working with cloud‑native architectures, including containerized workloads (EKS, ECS) and managed data stores (RDS, DynamoDB) on AWS or comparable cloud platforms.
• Proven ability to lead both teams and projects, influence across a highly matrixed organization, and effectively resolve organizational and delivery challenges.
• Experience operating in distributed, scalable production environments with awareness of monitoring, reliability, and operational best practices.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence both technical and non‑technical stakeholders at all levels.
• Results‑oriented mindset with a strong customer focus, attention to quality, and commitment to execution.
• Growth mindset with the ability to adopt new practices and lead their adoption across teams.
• Proficiency with standard productivity and collaboration tools, including Microsoft Office Suite and Atlassian products.

Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between $141,048 - $187,669 per year. The full range is $141,048 - $254,045 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
