Title Officer

Our client is hiring a clearance officer to provide underwriting guidance and resolve complex title issues. The role can be in the office, hybrid, or remote. Candidates must live within a commutable distance to the client's office in Queens. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate the Company’s ability to insure transactions, reviewing potential risks and determining insurability. Analyze files for clearance and provide a detailed review of the preliminary title report, ensuring all necessary documentation is in place. Work with all parties, including clients and internal teams, to obtain the necessary clearance for transactions to proceed to closing. Review entity, trust, estate documents, and payoff letters. Assist clients with uninsured matters, including municipal searches, by providing expert guidance to resolve issues. Prepare affidavits for closing, ensuring all documents meet title insurance standards. Obtain necessary high-liability approvals and ensure all policy language and endorsements meet company guidelines. Review closing documents for proper language, recitations, and exhibits, ensuring they meet legal and title requirements. Submit FINCEN paperwork as required. Oversee the delivery of closing documents and checks for remote or partial closings, coordinating with relevant parties. Resolve post-closing issues, collaborating with departments such as escrow and recording to address outstanding matters. Work closely with the recording and escrow departments to ensure proper document format, address recording issues, and confirm the receipt of wires. Guide internal teams through complex title or non-title issues, offering expertise on sophisticated matters. Maintain and build strong relationships with clients, delivering outstanding customer service and helping resolve any title-related concerns. Stay informed on changes to laws, regulations, and best practices in the title insurance industry. 2-4 years of experience in title insurance or related legal experience. Strong ability to learn and adapt to new software Proven ability to provide excellent customer service Ability to multitask, prioritize, and delegate tasks when necessary.
