Senior Tax Accountant

Responsibilities Kforce's client, a growing public accounting firm in Fairview Heights, IL, is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to provide tax compliance and consulting services to a diverse client base. This position is ideal for a tax professional who delivers exceptional client service, builds strong relationships, and enjoys mentoring developing staff. This client offers salary and benefits, great company culture and opportunity for growth. This position will be hybrid 3 days a week on site in the Illinois area. Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts Provide tax compliance and consulting services to clients across various industries Research tax issues of intermediate complexity and communicate findings effectively Manage multiple client engagements while supporting project realization and timely completion Develop and maintain strong client relationships Identify opportunities to introduce clients to additional firm services Assume responsibility for client billing, as appropriate Assist with supervising, coaching, and developing professional tax staff Requirements Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting CPA certification or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam Previous public accounting tax experience Experience supervising or managing staff Strong analytical, research, and critical-thinking skills Excellent organizational, communication, and client-service abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CCH Axcess, and QuickBooks The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
