Planning and Estimating Manager

A client of Insight Global is hiring for a Planning & Estimating Manager in Berkeley, IL. This individual will lead the estimating and project planning functions for a growing print manufacturing operation, ensuring projects are accurately estimated, strategically planned, and executed as efficiently and profitably as possible. The Planning & Estimating Manager will oversee the full estimating process, assign and review estimates, support complex bids and RFPs, and develop standardized estimating methodologies, tools, and procedures. Partnering closely with production and operations teams, this person will create project execution plans that optimize workflow, maximize resource utilization, reduce waste, and protect overall project profitability. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the print industry, including packaging and finishing operations, and brings hands-on experience with estimating, budgeting, and production planning. They should have a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, workflow efficiency, and cost management, along with the ability to coordinate projects from initial estimate through final production.
