Veterinary Assistant / Registered Veterinary Technician

Mediapolis Veterinary Clinic | Full-Time

Mediapolis Veterinary Clinic is a two-doctor, mixed-animal practice where you truly never know what will walk, trot, moo, oink, bleat, or crawl through our doors. We care for cats and dogs, pigs, horses, cattle, goats, sheep, and even zoo animals!

We work hard, have fun, and take pride in providing compassionate care to every patient that comes through our doors. Just as importantly, we believe in having a life outside of work and value our team’s time away from the clinic.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

This is a hands-on position with plenty of variety. Your days may include:

• Handling and restraining a wide variety of animals
• Assisting with procedures and surgery
• Monitoring patients and assisting with recovery from anesthesia
• Answering phones and helping clients
• Scheduling appointments
• ❤️ Providing compassionate patient care
• Helping create an exceptional experience for every client and patient

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Veterinary Assistant or Registered Veterinary Technician who is dependable, compassionate, eager to learn, and enjoys working with both animals and people .

Previous veterinary assistant or technician experience is preferred. Farm animal experience is a bonus, but not required—we're willing to train the right person!

Because we're a small, close-knit team, people skills are a must. Everyone here plays an important role in the client and patient experience, from the first phone call to the moment they head home.
