Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Tech$25.00-$30.00 per hour1st6:00am-4:30pm (Mon-Thurs)QPS Employment Group has a great Maintenance Tech position available at a company in West Burlington, IA. This is a direct hire position with 1st shift available.Maintenance Tech Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Perform basic preventive maintenance on various equipment using maintenance requests, prints, diagrams, and manuals.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment, facility systems, and environmental support systems.Conduct general building maintenance, including cleaning, minor electrical work, plumbing repairs, and fixing broken items.Maintain equipment by removing defective parts and adjusting functional components as needed.Assist with installation of machinery and equipment using plant schematics, wiring diagrams, precision measuring tools, and equipment manuals.Follow all company and OSHA-required training, including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Fall Protection, and Hot Work procedures.Support continuous improvement efforts for equipment, machinery, facilities, and Standard Operating Procedures.Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.Contribute to team success by performing other duties as assigned.Maintenance Tech Requirements:- Proven experience working with and troubleshooting PLC systems (required).- Ability to interpret maintenance documents, manuals, prints, and diagrams.- Basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repair skills.- Ability to use precision measuring tools and basic maintenance equipment.- Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.- Ability to comply with all required safety training and protocols.- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
