Technical Program Manager

Job Summary Our client is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead complex, high-visibility technical delivery initiatives within a large enterprise environment. This individual will create and maintain project plans, coordinate work across multiple technical teams, manage dependencies and risks, and provide clear updates to executive stakeholders. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable asking detailed questions, and capable of bringing teams together in a fast-paced environment. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role. Core Responsibilities Create and maintain detailed project plans across multiple technical delivery teams Lead weekly meetings covering project progress, technical challenges, missed milestones, dependencies, and roadblocks Coordinate with technical teams to identify requirements, points of contact, timelines, and work needed to begin delivery Identify cross-team dependencies and track their impact on project schedules Monitor the critical path and communicate potential timeline changes to stakeholders Develop executive-level reports highlighting progress, risks, decisions, and upcoming milestones Publish dynamic weekly status reports using Jira and Confluence Define and communicate the scope of initial releases and future project phases Create longer-term delivery roadmaps for programs spanning multiple releases Support technical initiatives involving account management, customer verification, payment functionality, alerts, and system integrations Build trusted working relationships across technical teams, business groups, leadership, and project stakeholders Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves) 5+ years of project management, program management, or technical delivery experience Experience supporting technical initiatives within a large enterprise organization Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle Experience creating detailed project plans and coordinating multiple delivery teams Hands‑on experience with Jira and Confluence Experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, and critical paths Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to executive stakeholders Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves) Experience with Smartsheet Background supporting large-scale applications, payments, or integrated enterprise platforms Experience coordinating projects across business and IT teams Experience creating multi-phase delivery roadmaps Experience supporting highly visible, deadline-driven programs Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments Key Competencies & Behaviors Strong executive presence and confidence leading meetings Highly organized with close attention to commitments, deadlines, and follow‑up items Comfortable asking frequent and detailed questions to clarify ownership and delivery expectations Able to bring multiple teams together and hold stakeholders accountable for commitments Strong judgment when navigating complex organizational relationships and competing priorities Energetic, professional, and comfortable working in a genuinely fast‑paced environment Able to build credibility and trust with technical teams over time Work Environment Location: Hybrid in St. Louis, MO Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $41.00 and $59.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location.
