Senior Program / Project ManagerLOCATION: Indianapolis, IN (Onsite 3 days/week) INDUSTRY: PharmaceuticalJOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a high-grit, results-driven Senior Program/Project Manager for a 12-month contract with a high probability of extension. You will assume oversight of 10–12 concurrent small technical projects currently managed by engineering resources. Your primary mission is to establish structure, enforce accountability, and drive delivery in an environment that requires immediate organization and strong leadership without direct authority.RESPONSIBILITIES:Establish governance by taking over 10–12 active technical projects from engineering teamsCreate robust project charters, detailed project plans, and clear success metricsStandardize timelines and ensure technical resources consistently meet deadlinesOwn daily and weekly status reporting for stakeholders and leadershipIdentify project bottlenecks early and execute immediate recovery plansDrive delivery through proactive communication and accountabilityREQUIREMENTS:7+ years of Senior Project Manager or Program Management experienceProven history of managing infrastructure, engineering, or technical operations projectsMastery of project management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid)Expert proficiency in project scheduling tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project)Strong leadership ability to influence technical teams without direct authorityExceptional written and verbal communication skills for clear status reportingAdaptability and comfort stepping into unorganized environments to build immediate structureA "whatever it takes" grit mindset to overcome obstacles and drive completionDESIRED:Experience establishing governance and structure across multiple concurrent technical projectsTrack record of rapid recovery planning and risk mitigation in engineering environmentsBEST-IN-CLASS-BENEFITS: We are in the people business; treating people right is our ONLY priority.
