Financial Director

Overview A well-established South Florida nonprofit organization is seeking a Director of Finance to lead accounting and financial operations. This position will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audits, compliance, procurement, and day-to-day accounting functions while partnering closely with executive leadership to support organizational goals. Responsibilities Lead all accounting and finance operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll oversight, and procurement. Manage month-end and year-end close processes. Oversee annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance. Prepare financial reports and presentations for executive leadership and Board committees. Monitor financial performance and provide analysis and recommendations. Partner with department leaders on budgeting and financial planning. Support grant reporting, capital projects, and other strategic initiatives. Lead, mentor, and develop a finance and accounting team. Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Public Administration, or a related field. 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience. 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles and financial management. Experience overseeing audits, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Advanced Excel skills and strong financial systems proficiency.
