Founded in 1949, we are a thriving private dermatology practice with 23 providers across four East Metro clinic locations.The Patient Access Specialist is responsible for making appointments for patients following Dermatology Consultants' procedures. The Patient Access Specialist assists patients on the telephone, schedules appointments, gathers accurate demographic information and insurance information, and registers patients. This position offers flexibility with remote or hybrid work options.Dermatology Consultants offers employees:Competitive Salary; holiday bonus eligibilityNo Evenings or WeekendsGenerous Company-funded 401K and Profit SharingDiscounts on Cosmetic Services (including Botox, laser hair removal, facials and more)Free ParkingPaid Time Off and Paid HolidaysCompany-sponsored Wellness programBenefits; Medical, Dental, Vision, Short- and Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Accident, HSA, FSA, Legal, tuition reimbursement, uniform allowanceStarting Pay Range:$20.00 - $24.00 per hourDuties and Responsibilities:Provide patient-centered customer service, using a multi-line telephone in a pleasant mannerSchedule patient appointments using the computerized scheduling system (Cerner) which best meet the needs of the patient in adherence with our physicians' schedule and availabilityRegister patients, verify and update patient data, prepare necessary confirmation letters, welcome packets and forms to send to patientsVerify insurance eligibilityReschedule and cancel appointments as neededOccasionally work as a Float Medical Receptionist at the Front Desk in any of the four clinic locationsMaintain strict confidentiality of patient health informationOther clerical duties as assigned such as online appointment requests, scheduling interpreters, patient portal invitations and referralsMinimum Requirements:HS Diploma or equivalent.1-2 years' experience in scheduling or reception in a healthcare settingExperience scheduling appointments, registering patients, and obtaining/verifying insurance informationAbility to communicate calmly and clearly with patients and others on the phoneAbility to occasionally travel to four East Metro clinic locations as a float medical receptionistKnowledge of customer service principles and techniquesAbility to navigate computerized scheduling system (Cerner) and to operate standard office equipment including multi-line telephone, computer and fax machineKnowledge of insurance preferredSchedule: 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 4:45 pmDermatology Consultants, P.A. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
