Job Title Psychiatry Physician – Independent Practice Physician (Ownership Model, Not Employed) Job Type Independent Practice Opportunity Overview MedCBO supplies non‑clinical and operational support through a Business‑in‑a‑Box platform, while physicians own and operate their practice entity. Physician controls clinical operations, care policies, and patient decision‑making. This is not an employed physician position. Physician Responsibilities Provide psychiatric care within scope of practice. Develop professional relationships within the medical community. Coordinate payer credentialing and manage provider participation. Determine clinical services offered and manage clinical quality and patient experience. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination. Billing and collections management. Payer contract negotiation. Financial infrastructure and reporting. Operational workflows, staffing systems, and technology platform implementation. Requirements MD or DO with unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice. Board Certified or Board Eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided. Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable. Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates. No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice. Interest in the independent practice model. Preferred Desire for practice ownership. Community‑based care interest. Leadership or program development interest. Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure. Compensation Compensation is generated by the physician‑owned practice. Financial outcomes vary based on specialty scope, services offered, payer mix, physician activity, and local market conditions.
