Number of Openings 1 Position Staff Accountant JOB SUMMARY: This is a fast-paced entry level position for someone who is eager to learn and grow in all areas of Accounting for a contract manufacturer. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with day-to-day, monthly, quarterly and annual closing of financial statements including preparation of journal entries and preparing reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts. Work directly with on transactions including billing, accounts receivable, expense entry, fixed assets, and others. Maintain general ledger of accounts. Assist with year-end audit and tax preparation, insurance audits, 1099 reporting, and other ad hoc compliance as necessary. Produce timely and accurate management reporting including key performance indicators. Review and analyze sales, operational, and financial data and create relevant reporting. Help to maintain and improve internal control structure. Various ad hoc reporting needs. Assist as needed in Cost Accounting. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1-5 years of relevant accounting experience Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience required Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Basic knowledge of Management/Cost Accounting, PLUS Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a PLUS, but not required SPECIAL TRAINING/SKILLS REQUIRED: Knowledge of Accounting techniques and procedures Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and organization skills, high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Positive attitude. Ability to follow established procedures. Ability to read, understand and analyze financial statements. Good problem-solving and time management skill. Able to maintain confidentiality of company financial information.
