What Youll Do
As an Event Set-Up Supervisor, youll lead the preparation and execution of event setups while ensuring banquet spaces are organized, safe, and guest-ready.
Responsibilities include:
Supervise and assist banquet set-up associates during event setup, breakdown, and room resets
Ensure banquet rooms are set according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), room diagrams, and client specifications
Conduct quality inspections to ensure meeting and event spaces meet Hyatt standards
Coordinate room turnovers and setup timelines to support seamless event execution
Train, coach, and support banquet set-up associates
Monitor banquet equipment, storage areas, and inventory for cleanliness and organization
Ensure tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, risers, and other equipment are properly maintained and stored
Communicate effectively with Banquets, Events, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments
Promote safe work practices and proper equipment handling procedures
Identify maintenance concerns and coordinate follow-up as needed
Assist with special projects and large-scale event setups
Provide hands-on leadership and support during high-volume event periods
Attend department meetings and assist with other duties as assigned

Ideal candidates will have:
Previous banquet, hospitality, event operations, facilities, or setup experience preferred
Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to read and interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and room diagrams
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs
