About the Role:
Kids First Preschool and Child Care Center #2 in Tucson, AZ is looking for a dedicated and caring Preschool Cook/Cleaner to join our team! This is a wonderful opportunity to play a vital behind-the-scenes role in supporting the health, safety, and happiness of young children every day. Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks for preschool-aged children daily
Follow all food safety, handling, and sanitation guidelines in accordance with health codes
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized kitchen environment at all times
Perform daily cleaning and disinfecting of classrooms, restrooms, common areas, and play spaces
Monitor and restock cleaning and kitchen supplies as needed
Assist with setup and breakdown of meal service throughout the day
Support staff in maintaining a safe and hygienic facility for children and employees

Requirements:

Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or a childcare/school setting preferred
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
Ability to follow menus, recipes, and portion guidelines for young children
Experience with commercial cleaning procedures and cleaning products
Fingerprint clearnace card
Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Ability to pass a background check as required for childcare environments
Food Handler's Certificate or willingness to obtain one upon hire
Kitchen Manager certificate a plus
