Pet Therapy & Companion Volunteers – Tucson Hospice
Dependable Hospice | Tucson, Arizona Volunteer Opportunity | As Little as 1 Hour Per Week
Have a Certified Pet and a Heart for Helping Others?At Dependable Hospice, we believe a little companionship can make a big difference!
We're looking for compassionate volunteers and their certified therapy pets to bring comfort, smiles, and meaningful connections to hospice patients throughout Tucson, Arizona .
Whether your certified companion has paws, hooves, feathers, or something else, we'd love to hear from you! We welcome all types of certified therapy animals.
And here's the best part: You can make a difference with as little as ONE hour per week! Of course, if you have more time to give, we'd be delighted to have you.
What You'll DoVisit hospice patients in Tucson with your certified therapy pet
Provide friendly companionship, conversation, and emotional support
Help brighten a patient's day through the comfort of animal interaction
Offer a listening ear and a caring presence
Work with our Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to arrange meaningful visits
A kind, compassionate individual who enjoys connecting with others
A certified therapy pet of any species
A dependable volunteer willing to give at least one hour per week
Willingness to complete hospice volunteer onboarding and orientation
Respect for patient privacy, dignity, and individual preferences
Your role is companionship, not medical care. You'll be offering friendship and emotional support while your certified pet brings its own special kind of comfort.
