Benefits & Compensation Quarterly Attendance Bonus Premium pay built into shift schedule Paid Time Off (PTO) with 2 additional personal days 11 paid company holidays 401k with company match Medical, Dental, Vision, and other supplemental offerings Company-provided life insurance Disability insurance Tuition Reimbursement Shift premiums: $1/hour, $1.50/hour 12hr Nights – Monday to Thursday, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am (2 positions) 3rd Shift – Monday to Friday, 11:00 pm to 7:00 am (1 position) Rotating Shift – Nights, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am (4 positions) Rotating Shift – Days, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm (2 positions) Role Overview The Assistant Bag Machine Operator assists in operating the bag machine, ensuring the quality and efficiency of bag production. Qualifications Mechanically inclined Ability to use measuring tools Previous machine operating experience preferred Experience working in a manufacturing environment Essential Duties and Tasks Assist operator with threading materials from parent roll through guides and rollers to cutters, gluer, printer, folding device, or electric sealer. Assist in starting the machine, observe operation, and adjust to ensure uniform shearing, printing, folding, gluing, or sealing of continuous roll into finished bags. Insert shaft into core of parent roll, secure with steel collars using hand tools, and mount roll onto the machine using a hoist. Operate the machine efficiently, maintaining high production and quality, with minimum waste, meeting speed goals. Reference work orders for paper supply and requisition paper from the warehouse when necessary. Diagnose and correct machine problems immediately to keep smooth production flow.Perform daily maintenance: oil machine, clean drum area, re-tape, and scrape down. Communicate well with other operators and teammates at shift change. Adhere to all GMP and SQF regulations at all times. Multi-task in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
