Payroll Specialist III

At this time, this is a hybrid position, and we are only looking for candidates who are local to the Littleton, MA area and are willing to work in a hybrid environment. Key Responsibilities Answer and triage phone calls as needed. Process payroll data using in‑house software to produce payroll checks and reports. Monitor processing and fulfill printing output to successful completion as needed. Complete ongoing assigned training courses necessary to expand payroll and ConnectPay knowledge base. Manage assigned client base with complex payroll processing, taxes, ancillary services, workers comp, year‑end processing, and other related concerns. Complete any special projects assigned by management. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of payroll tax processing experience, or bachelor’s degree in accounting, math or related fields. Proficient understanding of payroll and payroll tax calculations and filings. Passion for numbers and math. Experience with payroll software. Proficient in using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to commute to the office every business day. Good technical skills with computers and printers. Able to work and function in a corporate setting. Proven experience in problem solving and attention to detail. Good at balancing personal troubleshooting and seeking guidance. Good critical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate a situation, identify potential next steps and make informed decisions. Ability to work independently or collaboratively in teams. Proven experience handling sensitive payroll and employee data with discretion. CP Payroll believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of this role's hourly rate range is $23.15 - $26.80. The actual salary will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s education, training, experience, location, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, all CP Payroll team members receive equity and participate in an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance.
