IT Support TechnicianType: Contract (Potential for Extension) Location: Austin, TX 78701 Work Setting: Fully Onsite Schedule: Monday–Friday, generally 8:00 AM–5:00 PMPosition Overview: We are seeking IT Support Technicians to assist with a large-scale computer and docking-station refresh initiative within an enterprise environment. This is an entry-level technical support opportunity focused on the hands-on deployment and replacement of computers, PC imaging, data migration, hardware/software installation, troubleshooting, and end-user support. The technicians will work as part of an established project team and follow defined processes for imaging, replacing, configuring, and deploying technology equipment.Key Responsibilities:Image and configure computers for deployment.Replace existing computers and docking stations as part of a technology refresh initiative.Migrate user data between existing and replacement computers.Install, maintain, move, test, and upgrade computer hardware and software.Troubleshoot and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.Provide technical assistance for application and hardware issues.Support Windows-based computers and operating systems.Assist users with computers, software applications, printers, and peripherals.Document technical support activities and maintain service records.Assist with hardware and software upgrades and replacements.Follow established information-security policies and procedures.Support users and technical teams with day-to-day technology needs.Work collaboratively with other technicians, technical subject matter experts, and project leadership.Maintain strong customer service and communication throughout equipment deployments and support activities.Required Qualifications:1+ year of IT support or related technical experience.Experience troubleshooting and supporting computer hardware, software, and peripherals.Experience installing, maintaining, moving, or upgrading computer hardware and software.Working knowledge of Windows operating systems.Experience providing technical assistance for application and hardware issues.Knowledge of personal computers, computer components, and printers.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.Basic understanding of computer operations, information systems, software, hardware, and information-security practices.Strong customer-service skills.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.Ability to lift and relocate up to 30 pounds.High school diploma or equivalent.Preferred Qualifications:Windows 11 technical support experience.Previous experience with computer refresh, PC imaging, hardware deployment, or data migration projects.Experience supporting users in an enterprise IT environment.Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is an early-career IT professional with hands-on desktop or technical support experience who enjoys working directly with computer hardware. You should be comfortable imaging PCs, replacing equipment, migrating user data, troubleshooting Windows computers, and assisting end users while following established technical procedures. This is particularly well suited for someone looking to build additional enterprise IT experience through a large-scale technology refresh project.Additional Information: Position is fully onsite in Austin, TX 78701. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday, generally 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be requested. A criminal background check is required.
